billy wagner. What can you say? Thought my head already exploded during last september but it keeps exploding every night. Wagner...this is the guy in charge of calling the team out.

yes the BP stinks. but we left 8 men on base in innings 7,8,9. Single, anyone?

I may be jumping the gun, but I do not see any quotes from either of the Carloses after yesterday's game. Just Wright and Wagner. Carlos B might explain what happened on that pseudo triple, don't you think. He was available after his home run the other night.

To be a Met in town these days must be like having some horrific fish stench oozing from your pores and everywhere you go people turn their heads away from you, gagging.

Can't imagine the Carloses are too eager to speak in their own defence and can't imagine Billy Hillbilly will be calling anyone out any time soon. On the other hand, do you guys think Oliver Perez is secretly rolling in schadenfreudistic delight right now?

Interesting. The mets have to make a major move, and firing willie isn't it, although I do not think he is a good manager. If they fire him they will still have the same bunch of losers they have now. when a team goes through a devastating slide like we did last year they do not recover. You have to break it up. They have to trade either reyes or beltran. Now you would think reyes is a unique talent, you never trade that, but I ask you: what team over the last 10 years that has won the WS has a Reyes type talent on the team? Answer: none. Conclusion: guys like Reyes, as tantalizing as their talent may be, are not necessary to teams that want a world series. Reyes could bring back a lot, and we would be rid of his inconsistency, his moodiness, and his lack of basic baseball instincts. Reyes will NEVER lead us to the promised land. But the mets are so afraid that he will go somewhere and put up numbers that they will not do it. they are more concerned with PR than victory. He is not a winner. Who cares what he does somewhere else if we get value for him? We just cannot nring back another Victor Zambrano for him. I frankly find him exasperating to watch, day in and day out. if we could get two or three good players (one VERY good) I would prefer that. As for Beltran, his 100+ RBI would be missed. He is not the most clutch guy in the world but you need someone to drive in runs. He would be harder to trade because of his money. Reyes is the better deal. But I would take either. Pay some of his salary to improve the return. I think you could trade either one of these guys to the dodgers, who have good young talent.

Keep the faith! A move will be made and whatever it is will right the ship. www.y2kurse.com
